According to the EU Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parliament and
the EU Council on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and the
revised EU Directive 2012/19/EU, there is an obligation to organize and finance
collection, treatment and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment
in accordance with the before mentioned regulations. According to the Electrical
and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) in Germany, every producer is obliged
to create a reasonable possibility to return waste electrical equipment from
users other than private households.
The statements made below
regarding the disposal of UFIT- UVS brand equipment that has been taken out of
use are binding only for customers within Germany. Customers in other EU
countries should contact their local dealer and/or local authorities for
appropriate information.
UFIT AG devices are developed
and marketed for professional use. Accordingly, they have been recognized as
B2B (business to business) products by the responsible German agency Stiftung
EAR (Elektro-Altgeräte Register). UFIT AG is registered there as a manufacturer
with the brand UFIT UVS under the WEEE registration number DE 66682170. The B2B
classification means that UFIT AG is not obliged to collect waste
electrical/electronic equipment from municipal collection points, as the
ElektroG requires producers of electrical/electronic equipment intended for the
consumer market to do. Consequently, our products may not be disposed of in
this way either.
Instead, we offer our
customers in Germany to take back devices of the UFIT UVS brand that are no
longer used and were produced in 2006 or later and to dispose of them properly
at our expense.
This is in line with the
announcement of the EAR that the manufacturer's disposal obligation in the case
of B2B applies from equipment placed on the market after 23.03.2006.
As a voluntary service to our
customers, we will also take back devices produced before 2006 free of charge
if a new device with comparable functionality is ordered at the same time.
Possibility of
returning and disposing of old appliances
You would like to dispose of an electrical device purchased from UFIT AG
correctly:
Send us an e-mail to recycle@ufit.de with your company data and the item
names/descriptions that you want to dispose of.
You will receive a confirmation email that we accept the devices. Please
note the following for acceptance:
- Dirt, especially chemicals, should be avoided or removed after the
last use.
- Foreign, operating or processing materials must be removed from or
from the devices prior to delivery.
- After the last use, the devices must be protected from moisture or not
exposed to it unnecessarily
The old electrical devices are to be packaged with sufficient protection
and using a forwarding agent of your choice or a corresponding parcel service you
have to send the old electrical devices back to us at your own expense.
When we receive the old electrical devices, we separate them as far as
possible (non-electronic parts) and dispose of them at our expense by a
regional disposal company.
Personal
responsibility with regard to the deletion of personal data
We explicitly point out that according to § 19a ElektroG you are responsible to delete any personal and company data on the
appliances considered for disposal.
Meaning of the
symbol for the marking of electrical appliances
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on electrical appliances
indicates that they must be collected separately and means that they must not
be disposed of with household waste.
